Reading...

I found this book at a Christian bookstore...in the used section. It was in large print and I ALMOST didn't get it. But, I thought I better try it because the cover looked promising. (yes, yes, never judge a book by its cover...)
I started it yesterday because I was bored...and tired, and cranky, and my mind racing with THINGS I needed to get done and...oh wait, I blogged about that.

So, this book started out slow for me. I told myself I'd give it 10 chapters and then I'd be done if it wasn't worth it. By chapter 6 I was hooked and honestly COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN.

The book takes place right after Jesus dies. Leah is a servant in Pilate's house and is forced into marriage. She is also forced to go find out what happened to Jesus...was his body stolen like they thought? The man she is to marry is ordered to do the same thing. Oh my word...I was hooked. SO SO SO good. It really gave me things to think about...things I take for granted because I was raised knowing all Bible stories. The story really shows how much fear Pilate and his men had. They also bring out his wife and how she keeps having these dreams that Jesus is still alive. Herod is also in the book and he really is evil. Really, the love story is 2nd, while finding truth is the main focus.

Pick it up...you won't be able to put it down!
